Mindanaoherald | Ebrahim: Think on Eid al-Adha for a more powerful, cohesive Bangsamoro | COTABATO CITY – As Muslims marked Eid al-Adha on Sunday, Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim asked the Bangsamoro people to think about what Prophet Ibrahim did and how selfless he was.
Ebrahim said in a news release, “As we remember this day, let us show the same devotion as Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.), especially when luck is not on our side.”
The Feast of Sacrifice, or Eid al-Adha, remembers Prophet Ibrahim’s steadfast devotion to Allah.
His story of being ready to kill his son Ismail as a sacrifice is a strong reminder of how important it is to love and sacrifice others.
The leader of the Bangsamoro people also said it was important to think about this idea in the context of the journey of the Bangsamoro people.
He said, “Today is a time for every believer to stay true to our core values: that, even when life is hard, the sacrifices we make have deep meaning and wisdom.”
The Chief Minister also said, “The sacrifices and obedience of the Bangsamoro people have helped us move forward in our fight for justice and equality.”
For the Bangsamoro’s future, Ebrahim stressed how important it was to work together.
“I also hope that we can work together as a community to build a society that comes together across our racial, religious, and political differences,” he said. (via PNA)
