DepEd and bank collaborate to promote financial wellness among educators

Mindanaoherald | DepEd and bank collaborate to promote financial wellness among educators | DAVAO CITY – China Bank Savings (CBS) and the Department of Education (DepEd) collaborated on Tuesday to offer financial wellness training to educators.
According to Niel Jumawan, the head of the CBS automatic payroll deduction lending group and first vice president, the “Financial Wellness Roadshow for Teachers” is designed to enhance the level of knowledge among educators regarding debt management, financial goal setting, personal statement of assets and liabilities analysis, and saving strategies and techniques.
He declared that the roadshow encompasses the entire nation and had been implemented in Northern Luzon, the National Capital Region, and Calabarzon.
On Wednesday, the seminar will be carried out in General Santos City.
“We believe that by providing our teachers with the necessary training and guidance in the area of financial assistance, they will be able to pass it on to their students.” He stated in an interview that it affects the institution of nation-building.
Jumawan stated that they should concentrate on the education sector in order to encourage instructors to budget their loans more responsibly.
“We serve sectors beyond our own.” Retail is our segment of the market. “We also offer consumer loans, retail housing loans, auto loans, and personal loans,” he continued.
At Carlos P. Garcia Senior High School, Milfred Valdera, a teacher, conveyed his satisfaction with the existence of an initiative that provides financial wellness support to educators.
