North Cotabato provincial government hands over road improvements valued at P29.6 million

Mindanaoherald | North Cotabato provincial government hands over road improvements valued at P29.6 million | KIDAPAWAN CITY, North Cotabato – Through a series of handovers on Wednesday morning, the provincial government gave road projects worth PHP29.6 million to four towns in this province.

The new roads show that the local government is committed to improving infrastructure, according to Governor Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza, who oversaw the project turnover in three towns.

There were road projects worth PHP4.9 million in Makilala town’s Barangay Guangan and Biangan villages.

Armando Yabut, chair of Guangan village, said in an interview, “This project will help us quickly deliver our locally made products.”

A PHP4.9 million road project in Kabacan town helped villager Osias and other palay farmers in the area.

The Mayor of President Roxas Town, Jonathan Mahimpit, also got the PHP14.9 million project for paving roads in Barangay Lomonay on Wednesday.

In order to stop cheating and other problems with the projects, Mendoza said that the strict application of the “one strike policy” was what got them done.

“I urge the people to contribute and be vigilant in reporting any cases and issues of corruption practices in our government,” she pointed out.It gives P29.6 million in road work to the N. Cotabato provincial government. (via PNA)
