MindanaoHerald | Business owners from Caraga reach more customers at the North Luzon Expo | BUTUAN CITY – Local business owners, travel and tour companies, and local government units (LGUs) from the Caraga Region were able to reach more customers by taking part in the two-day 2nd North Luzon Travel Expo in Baguio City, which ended on Monday.
“The event brought attention to Caraga products and handicrafts to a wide range of people, bringing in potential customers and business opportunities,” Ivonnie Dumadag, director of the Department of Tourism-Caraga (DOT-13), said in an interview.
She said that the fair did more than just show off local goods; it also gave Caraga tourists a lot of different ways to travel.
The region’s participation in the expo was also seen by Dumadag as a “opportunity for exposure, networking, and market expansion, which are expected to promote local economies and regional development.”
It was an honor to have DOT Secretary Ma. Christina Garcia Frasco and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong at the three-day tourist event.
The LGUs and other tourist groups in the area were thanked for their full support of the travel expo. (via PNA)
