MindanaoHerald | A P25-M public market is coming to BARMM town in North Cotabato | COTABATO CITY – The regional government is giving a village in the town of Pigcawayan in North Cotabato a PHP25-million public market. This village is now part of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Naguib Sinarimbo, the interior minister of BARMM, said in an interview on Tuesday that the facility was given to the people in charge of Barangay Datu Binasing in the Pigcawayan Cluster of the Special Geographic Area (SGA)-BARMM in North Cotabato on Monday.
“The market, which is strategically placed in the middle of Pigcawayan, will give locals jobs and business opportunities, bring in more money for the government, and open up new ways for the community to grow, especially in the business sector,” Sinarimbo said.
He stressed how important it was to give the BARMM government chances to keep the peace and security.
“When we let people in the community work for the government and do things for the community, we give them a fair chance to make money.” “This is the key to good government,” he said.
More plans are being made to improve villages under the SGA-BARMM, which is made up of 63 villages in six towns in North Cotabato that chose to join the new BARMM in a 2019 two-part vote. (via PNA)
