MindanaoHerald | 19 new patrol cars and security gear are being given to BARMM police | COTABATO CITY – The Police Regional Office in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRO-BARMM) gave more than PHP47.5 million worth of brand-new police cars and security gear to different police units in the region on Thursday. The goal was to make their work more efficient.
The director of PRO-BARMM, Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, said during the turnover program at Camp SK Pendatun, the headquarters of PRO-BAR in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, “This is to emphasize the use of the mobility and equipment with the ultimate goal of providing more substantial assistance to the community.”
Twenty brand-new police pickup trucks were given to the Lanao del Sur PPO, the Maguindanao del Norte PPO, and the Maguindanao del Sur PPO. All together, they have 20 cars.
Nobleza also gave 145 undershirt vests, 47 enhanced combat helmets, and 47 tactical vests that are used for current security operations to police field units.
According to him, these were given to police posts across BARMM that deal with high-risk crimes.
Nobleza also thanked the local governments for their help and cooperation in keeping the peace and order in the area.(via PNA)
