MindanaoHerald | Bukidnon’s governor emphasises tourism and digital infrastructure development in SOPA | CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – During his State of the Province Address (SOPA) on Tuesday, Bukidnon Governor Rogelio Neil Roque emphasised the accomplishments of his administration in the fields of tourism and digital infrastructures.

According to Roque, the province has recovered its lost momentum from the pandemic and is now assembling resources for digital connectivity and tourism infrastructure building.

The local tourist network is being strengthened in Bukidnon, and efforts are being made to collaborate with the private tourism sector, the official said.

Roque stated that it is crucial to “focus on highlighting our natural beauty, cultural heritage, and unique experiences” even while other already-existing tourism-related enterprises and events continue to prosper. to move forward with sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism, particularly as our airport construction continues.

Roque also discussed the many agricultural industry projects, pointing out that the province continues to lead the nation in the production of products including rice, corn, sugarcane, pineapple, and bananas.

The new domestic airport in Don Carlos is 60% finished, according to Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, a native of the area, who spoke earlier this month.

Prior to 2025, the airport is anticipated to be completely operational.
