MindanaoHerald | Free legal and medical services are available at the Party-list office in Davao | DAVAO CITY – The ACT-CIS (Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support) Party-list opened a new office here on Saturday, so it can now help people all over Mindanao, not just those who live here.

The office will start working on Monday and will help with law and work-related problems. It will also offer social services, help from the cops, and other things.

Rep. Erwin Tulfo said at a news briefing, “If they have problems with health care or funerals, we will send them to the Department of Social Welfare and Development. If they have problems with work, we will send them to the Department of Labour and Employment.”

The office will have five workers who will try to help all clients from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“We will do our best to help them the same day they gave us their needs,” Tulfo said.

Another ACT-CIS office will open in Davao Oriental. Wanda Teo, who is his sister, will be in charge of that office.

Teo said that they plan to build a dialysis centre in Mati City. The centre will offer free endoscopies, other lab tests, and eye care, among other things.

“We are working on it before the end of the year,” said Teo.(via PNA)
